Open Internet?

As of Januar 6 2012, it will be illegal to use non-Belarus sites to conduct online business in Belarus.
I feel like going off on a rant here, but will imit myself to to a small nod to the last paragraph of the article (hopefully noone over at The Next Web will mind me copying it)

The law, which is a pure regression, shares many overtones and practical functions with the much maligned SOPA bill here in the United States. And like SOPA, the Belarusian law will stifle innovation and plague its economy.
